Missionary challenge - Moses Paulose

This book is being promoted by Clive Cook and Partners in Evangelism; Clive is also representative of Body of Christ Ministries in Britain, which is Paulose's organisation.

It is the story of Paulose's life, and how he came to found Body of Christ Ministries at Rameswaram, an island sacred to Hinduism in southern India. It challenges just about every comfortable western myth about Christianity, and describes how God works through the life of a person totally dedicated to Him. Yet Paulose comes across as a very ordinary person, and nothing he describes seems inaccessible to any Christian who wants to be totally available to God to spread the gospel.

Without any funding, Paulose sells his own blood in order to buy a film projector for presenting the Jesus film on his evangelistic crusades. In New Testament apostolic fashion, some places, usually villages, willingly embrace the message, while others react with violent hostility. The preaching is accompanied by miracles: signs and wonders.

Dying to self nearly becomes a physical reality for Paulose and his followers; and also to his family when they relocate from a fairly comfortable lifestyle to Rameswaram.

If you don't mind being made uncomfortable, but long for God's power - this is a book for you.
